Before Graduation
Commencement Ceremony
The annual University
Commencement will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.
at the Alex G. Spanos Center to celebrate together
as one university. We urge you to participate
in this special festive event. Each year at
this Commencement event, we recognize outstanding
student leaders, award distinguished public
figures of high achievement with honorary degrees,
and feature a keynote Commencement
speaker.
Applying for Graduation
If you expect to fulfill
degree requirements during the next academic year, the
graduation application deadline for the spring semester is
April. This allows time for the Registrar to review your completed
studies
and to enable you to enroll for any requirements not yet
completed. You may graduate at the end of the fall semester,
end of the spring semester, or end of the summer sessions,
but graduation ceremonies are held only once a year in May. You
must notify the Office of the Registrar when you intend to
graduate by filing an Application
for Graduation.
Get Cap & Gown
Every graduate is
required to wear a formal black cap and gown for the Commencement
Ceremony on Saturday and the Diploma and Hooding Ceremony for
your school/college. They may be purchased at the Pacific Bookstore
on the Stockton Campus. You must pick up your cap & gown
at the Pacific Bookstore prior to graduation.
Commencement Fair

to answer questions concerning your graduation and graduation
products. You will be able to visit with representatives from
the Alumni Office, the Office of the University Registrar, and
Career Services as well as order your University of the Pacific

Helpful Tips
Your graduation day
will be much more enjoyable if you take a time to prepare for
it. Be sure to check out your Diploma and Hooding Ceremony
schedule in advance. Purchase your cap and gown, invitations,
etc. several weeks before graduation so you won't be worrying
about these items at the last minute. It's going to be
a great day!
