News Briefs McGeorge Welcomes Four New Faculty Members in Fall 2016 Lindsey Blanchard joins McGeorge on July 18, 2016, as an associate professor of lawyering skills. Ederlina Y. Co and Daniel J. Croxall join McGeorge on August 1, 2016, as assistant professors of lawyering skills in the Global Lawyering Skills program. Stephen Smith Cody joins the faculty in August 2016 as a visiting assistant professor of law. Blanchard most recently clerked for Judge Susan Nelson of the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, where she has been working since June 2013. Blanchard graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Minnesota Law School. Co most recently served as the career law clerk to Chief Magistrate Judge (now District Judge) Dale A. Drozd. She received her J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center. She is an expert in §1983 actions in federal court and has substantial experience with appellate litigation. Croxall returns to McGeorge, where he earned his law degree with great distinction in 2008. Most recently, he has owned his own firm that specializes in representing craft breweries. Cody hails from the Human Rights Center at Berkeley Law, where he most recently was the director of the Atrocity Response Program. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in sociology, as well as a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MPhil from Cambridge University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He will be teaching Civil Procedure, Criminal Law and International Criminal Law at McGeorge. 6 summer / fal l 20 1 6 S t e v e Y e at e r Diversity Week 2016 In February, the McGeorge community participated in the law school’s annual Diversity Week. The events culminated with a reception to celebrate the successful efforts to raise $400,000 for four new diversity scholarships.
