The Pottawattamie County attorney since 2003, Wilber is a past president of the Iowa County Attorneys Association. 1996 Theresa Dunham has been named Somach Simmons & Dunn’s managing shareholder. She will serve a two-year term. | Stephanie Hansel has joined the Sutter County Superior Court as the Court Executive Officer. | Carl Joseph joined Ernst & Young LLP as a principal in the accounting giant’s indirect and state and local tax practice. He is a former senior counsel for the California Franchise Tax Board. | Gustavo Matheus has joined j i m n e w b e r r y Nathan O’Malley, ’00, received his J.D. in 2000, when the dot-com bust hit Northern California law firms as much as it hit tech firms. A McGeorge professor made an unconventional suggestion: Study for a year at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. “It was exactly the right move,” O’Malley says. Shortly after, he was hired by a Dutch firm. He practiced law for more than 11 years overseas before bringing his expertise back to the United States. Now, he leads the international business and dispute resolution practice at Gibbs Giden in Los Angeles, and arbitrates cases all over the world, including in Abu Dhabi, Switzerland, and Singapore. “McGeorge prepared me so I could build a career that combines everything I love,” O’Malley says. He is the author of the book Rules of Evidence in International Arbitration: An Annotated Guide (Lloyd’s Arbitration Law Library).
